At Walter’s, our enthusiasm for Porsches and motorsports goes back many years when our owner, Walter Kienle helped prepare race cars for events at the legendary Riverside Raceway.
This passion continues today with our exclusive sponsorship of the Porsche Club of America, Orange Coast Region Driving Series. We sponsor several events at local racetracks as well as the El Toro airfield, all intended to help you get the most out of your Porsche driving experience. If you are interested in participating please email us at emcrae@waltersporsche.com or visit www.pcaocr.org to view the schedule of driving events.
Also, if there are performance upgrades you are interested in for street or track use, please contact us. We have several employees who own and race Porsches of all kinds so we have the experience to perform the work on-site and to guide you in the right direction.
Lastly, if you have purchased a vehicle from us or you are a regular service client of ours, we are happy to perform a complimentary pre-track tech inspection of your vehicle which is recognized by PCA and POC for their track events.
Whether you are considering taking your Porsche on the track for the first time, or you are a seasoned club racer, we share your passion and we are here to support you.
We look forward to seeing you at the track!
Updates from the recent 24hours of Daytona!
The overall winning car was powered by the same Porsche V8 that is in the Cayenne and Panamera. The car ran 755 continual laps over the 24hrs which equaled around 2,642 miles at an average speed of 111mph - talk about durability and reliability! This was a real surprise since the BMW powered Ganassi/Sabates car was the heavy favorite having won the race 2 out of the last three years.
One of our customers - Ted Ballou, finished 3rd overall in the GT class driving a Porsche GT3 Cup car which is an outstanding result considering there where 28 entries in the GT class this year. Ted drives a GT3 RS which he purchased from us.
Nathan Swartzbaugh, guest speaker at our recent PCA awards ceremony, got a call late last week from one of the team owners and was given the chance to race in a Ferrari F430 Challenge car due to a driver falling ill on the team. He flew to Florida on Friday and jumped in the car for Saturday morning's warm-up before the race - his only time in the car before the race. He did get to drive but unfortunately one of his team mates crashed the car and they finished well back but were running at the end.
